DEAL STRUCK!!

I was very excited about this discussion. It was planned only two days before. Ok let me not keep on adding lines to bring a suspense effect. The deputy editor (D.E) of the much revered “The Business line”, Mr.D.Murali, gave me a chance to meet Dr.Velu, M.D of a reputed medical equipment manufacturing company through an informal meeting session. Sorry folks I forgot the name of the company. Poor retrieval of data from the main memory. I think it needs a formatting.

I was accompanied by my friend for this meeting. When entered into the newspapers’ office the D.E was not in his cabin and one of his colleagues told us that the meeting stood cancelled. I was shattered for a moment since I had even taken my final year engineering project proposal in the hope that the guest would help me. We came out of the office when I saw the D.E walking towards us and exchanged pleasantries with us and led us through into his cabin. We had told him in prior about what we do, so I think he had pre-planned the course of work that he would take us through if the guest was late. And fate had its wicked wand and the guest was late as it is always the case :). He (D.E) gave each one of us a book and we were asked to read the book, would you believe fifteen minutes and come up with questions to be posed to the authors. We skimmed and scanned through the pages to come up as many as we could. I began to feel like the press.Hail the Almighty, the guest arrived with his deputy just a few minutes behind schedule. And it was time to question.

The discussion that followed was mostly centered on the area of medical technology sector and how the government was orphaning the whole sector which is in the stages of infancy. And it was time for break and we headed straight to the canteen. It was the moment I found the guest free and I submitted my project proposal and I was directed to his deputy for further details. Mission accomplished at last. First stage of the project worked out well and a deal was struck.

Now after a long access time the needed data got retrieved. The company is called ”Trivitron”.

How it feels to type and think??

I have signed in myself to blog and am really thinking about what to blog.There is a lot to blog under the sun but things don’t work out right when I sit to blog.Man,let me tell you all its difficult to type(tu-tu-tu)and assimilate thoughts to publish and post.Its really hard to do it.Rightly said “never try to catch two birds”.Kudos to the guy who said it.But am astonished,even computers do multi-tasking but why not i??Oh k,oh k I have said enough of it.Now I ll stop this rather will start thinking for my next post.keep ypur fingers crossed I much come up with something better or worse.Be prepared for the rain and the shine.

En kavidhai arangetram!!

It was the 125th birth anniversary of MAHAKAVI BHARATHIYAR on 11th december 2007 and it was celebrated with so much fanfare.I am one of the fortunate few to have been residing opposite to the place where the great poet and intellect once lived.The memorial is located on t.p.koil street,triplicane.An organistion named VANAVIL had organised for the celebrations spread over four days from 8th to 11th december in his memorial.i had involved myself in it and most of the time I was there at the memorial taking part in the celebrations. The festivities include an oration by famous Sukhi Sivam on the the topic “INDA GNANAM VANDAL”(meaning”what if this knowledge comes?”).the speaker emphasised that if we really understand the meaning of our existence without regard to material pleasures,bodily pleasures the mind becomes clear ,helping us in knowing the reality.i really enjoyed the session.it made me feel good that some of the principles which I follow are set in the right direction.i was not present the next two days because of my ill health but I made sure that I was there on 11th.

It was the day when tamizh(I have stopped typing it as tamil)poets both legends and starters dedicated their poetic creations on the feet of the great poet.it was called kavi pozhivu(poetic showers).the day also saw me presenting a poem titled “PURATCHI VEDAM”.people let me tell you I gave up studying tamizh in class5 and took sanskrit as my second language but now the love for the language has made me come running towards it and my knowledge of tamizh is jus derived from weekly magazines like ananda vikatan,kalki,kungumam and off late by the books of sujatha,vairamuthu etc.i can read but my writing is full of spelling mistakes(ezuthu pizhaigal!!).to be precise it was the day of my kavidhai arangetram and the chief guest was non other than the Mahakavi himself and the tamizh loving audience.my poem was centered around equality for all and development of an utopian society.i had taken two more poems but they allowed me to present only one and I presented the one with the theme which was always close to the Mahakavi’s heart.i feel proud of the fact that bein a non-tamizhian I was able to read my poem without any stammering in front of an audience which had so many scholars and intellects.i was initially nervous and was trembling in my legs but bharathi’s lines “achamillai achamillai” came to my rescue.the day would stand cherished in my mind for all life.

Why i chose to blog and what i will post?

i have heard of this stuff called blogging but i really had no patience to sit,accumulate my thoughts and type it down.And what made to start blogging was that the internet looked to me as a medium where i can put in my thoughts,right or wrong.So this i thought would be the apt form of expressing my views.

i will not be a regular blogger jotting down my daily activities but occasionally i would come up with some posts which would be the reflections of the people, events or things that have had an impact on me. i wish that my blogs form an impression on people towards their humanitarian and societal responsibilities and duties.sometimes i will touch upon the concepts of "why religions?why god?" to the level i best understood it.
